Last year, InspoHub was engaged by Connect.Live to support content capture of Lotus’ internal Global Retailer Conference. In addition to the event coverage, InspoHub also shot and delivered edits for the newly unveiled Clive Chapman Centre, which was revealed that same week.
The event, hosted at Lotus’ headquarters in Hethel, saw retailers of the car manufacturer travel from around the globe to attend. The purpose of the event was to give those retailers an exclusive look at upcoming projects in the pipeline, as well as provide a unique fan experience as a thank you to those who came along.
The conference was broken into several parts. The first being a stage talk, where Lotus management outlined plans for the future, shared some key figures and teased some new products. The second was a full tour of the Hethel site. This included guided walks around the factory, Classic Team Lotus and the design studios, as well as a hot lap track experience. Thirdly, Lotus put on an off-site gala dinner for all attendees.
The client wanted extensive coverage of all aspects of the conference. They wanted ‘as live’ coverage of the stage talks and a highlights package of the site tour, including video and photography. For the dinner experience, the client wanted to capture the flavour and production value of the evening with cinematic B-roll and interviews.
The purpose of this was to share the content with those who attended as a piece of memorabilia. The client also used the informative stage talk coverage to send to those unable to attend, ensuring those who couldn’t attend could still experience the event virtually.
For the unveiling of the Colin Chapman Centre, the client requested that a video crew and photographer was present to capture the big reveal, stage presentations and conduct interviews with Lotus employees.
InspoHub went with a streamlined approach for this project. Keeping resources and crew to a minimum helped us seamlessly integrate into the wider Connect Live AV team with no disruption.
A team of 3 attended Hethel across the several days the event was on. Between 3, both video footage and photography was produced and captured across various site locations.
By working closely with event organisers, we were able to preempt activities and proactively plan shots, meaning we were across everything, as well as maximising the quality of content from start to finish.
Turnaround times on this project were quick. The client wanted to share the content with guests whilst still relevant and timely. We edited and delivered all assets within a matter of days. Due to the meticulous pre-planning for this project and close relationship with the client, post-production was seamless - meaning we could edit swiftly but without sacrificing quality in the process.
The client and their guests were thrilled with the finished project, voicing positive feedback throughout the course of the shoot and post production process.
